Property Description

An Artist's Off-Grid Homestead in the Pines - Some properties are measured in acres. Others are measured in how they make you feel. Known as Lizard Rock Basecamp, this one-of-a-kind off-grid retreat is tucked among the pines near Cotopaxi, offering 8.18 acres across three separate parcels, a place shaped by imagination, resourcefulness and an artist's eye. Wander the property and you'll discover an eclectic collection of detached spaces, sheds, open-air structures and repurposed campers and trailers, each adding another layer to its story. The seller's late husband was an artist, and his creativity is woven throughout the land. It is rustic, unexpected and full of personality, the kind of place that invites you to slow down, explore and imagine what it could become in your hands. A 275-foot household well, reported at 4 gallons per minute, is already in place. The property is currently off-grid, with electrical service nearby for a buyer who may wish to investigate bringing power to the site. Mature trees, varied terrain and winding paths make exploring the acreage feel like a small adventure, with quiet corners and intriguing details along the way. Whether envisioned as a creative hideaway, recreational retreat or the beginning of your own mountain homestead, this is not a cookie-cutter property, and that is precisely its charm. Property and all improvements are being sold as-is. Buyers should verify permitted uses, boundaries, utilities, improvement details and suitability for their plans.
